Being a member of the cabbage family it too contains the isothiocyanate anti oxidant compound called sulforaphane. Sulforaphane has proven useful in combatting prostrate, breast, colon and ovarian cancers by virtue of its cancer-cell growth inhibition, and cyto-toxic effects on cancer cells. In addition daikon radish also contain adequate levels of the vitamin B complex, folate, pyridoxine, riboflavin, thiamin and minerals such as iron, magnesium, copper and calcium.
